Meet your Retreat Leaders

Ilze Altroka

Ilze is from Latvia. Her passions, besides dancing, are travel and personal growth. She is constantly exploring the world and, along the way, learning about wellbeing and how to deepen her relationships with both others and herself.

She began her career studying dentistry in Riga, followed by a decade working in a fast-paced clinic as a dentist. After graduating from university, it soon became clear that this path was not fulfilling her soul. So, she followed her inner passion: dance. Upon discovering a Groove class, she was deeply inspired to become a facilitator herself. In 2017, she took the training in Berlin. Currently, Ilze teaches Groove to her local community and in the studio she opened in 2023.

In her journey to heal her relationship with food and body image, Ilze enrolled in a holistic nutrition program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), which takes a whole-person approach to nutrition, considering physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. She graduated in 2019.

Ilze has also completed self-love and body confidence facilitator training (2020) and meditation training in Bali (2024).

Cathrin Gressieker

Movement, travel, and creativity—these passions fuel Cathrin's life and work. Having lived, learned, and traveled in over 45 countries, Cathrin is currently based in Northern Germany with her family.

She is a Hatha and Kundalini yoga teacher with 20 years of experience. Cathrin fell in love with Groove three years ago and can't imagine a day without it. She is thrilled to share Groove with her growing community in Oldenburg, Germany, and at retreats around the world. Constantly learning and evolving, Cathrin is also on the journey to become an Ecstatic Dance DJ and facilitator. She leads her classes with humor, lightheartedness, and a lot of soul. Every Groove playlist she creates is the best she's ever made—she's convinced of it.

When she's not on the dance floor, yoga mat, or in the kitchen preparing vegan comfort food, Cathrin is in her studio, exploring color and paint as part of her work as an artist and textile designer.

Ina Schuppe Koistinen

Ina is a medical researcher at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm studying the role of the microbiota, the trillions of microbes that live on and in our bodies, on our health. Yoga & Groove have been an integral part of her life for many years. In addition to her research, Ina is passionate about guiding people to a healthier life with her knowledge and creativity. Ina is also an artist with watercolors as her medium and has her studio on an island in the Stockholm archipelago. She is an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher who instructs in an understandable and educational manner. In her classes she combines her broad experiences with creativity, scientific perspectives and joy.

Ina is from Germany but has been living in Sweden for more than 30 years.

In addition to yoga & Groove classes Ina also shares some insights from her research and offers a lecture on how the microbiota affects our health and how we can restore an imbalanced gut flora.
